When I rebranded to Hōm Photography, I knew the name had to reflect what mattered most to me—family, connection, and the everyday spaces where life really happens.

For me, that’s home.

Why I Chose the Name “Hōm”

After more than 12 years as a Salt Lake City family photographer, I’ve learned that the most meaningful photos don’t come from perfect poses or scenic backdrops. They come from real life—toddlers climbing on the couch, pancake breakfasts, books before bed, and those tiny moments that often go unnoticed.

That’s why I chose the word Hōm. It’s simple, grounded, and full of heart. It represents both the physical space you live in and the emotional center of your family’s story. And honestly—it just feels like me.

How My Focus Evolved

For years, I photographed families in all kinds of places—parks, mountain fields, city streets. But as my own family grew and my youngest started school full-time, I realized where my heart really was: in the home.

In-home family sessions allow everyone to relax into their natural rhythm. Kids feel free to play. Parents can exhale. There’s no rushing, no pressure, no performance—just connection.

The result? Honest, artful images that feel like you.

My mission is simple: to help families throughout Salt Lake and Utah County preserve the beauty of their real, everyday life.

No Pinterest-perfect poses. No stress. Just genuine connection and love—captured right where it happens most.

Whether it’s your toddler’s favorite blanket, the chaos of breakfast, or the quiet of bedtime snuggles, these are the moments worth remembering.
